User review and recommendation of the Ovation CS257

 

Very nice looking guitar with sunburst finish, multiple sound holes and Ovations unique back design. Although a little quiet for pure acoustic purposes it has a very nice sound when played amplified. with the eq you can change to tonal qualities to suit the music your playing whether you want a bright sound for jazz or mellow and soft. The Ovation CS257 stays in tune very well even with a lot of playing. The neck is adjustable like electric guitars which is nice.

The only thing but this is common to all Ovation models not just the CS257 is the round back. Some people really like them saying that when they sit down it slides off of their lap and others simply do not mind at all, you'll have to try it and decide for yourself.

The Ovation CS257 when not amplified has a very bright sound to it and is especially sweet as an electric/acoustic.

Recommendation: highly recommended especially considering the price.
